Hindu Gods and Goddess

In the past month I was desperately looking for a new theme for my resin jewellery. I wanted something unique and something I'm really interested in and so I've deceided to make some pendants with images of Hindu gods and goddess.
I love Hindu iconography,I love India, so I made a research of traditional portraits of deities and elaborated them with Photoshop, to make the colors even more bright, vibrant, almost neon.
In the picture you can see some samples of pendants of different sizes. All of them are finished with a resin layer except of the first one, that has a huge magnifying cabochone on top, I made the shocking pink setting with resin coloured with pigments, the mould I used was made by me out of a setting I bought long ago and never used.
They will be turned soon in new necklaces and brooches, but before the settings need to be a bit customized with crystals, beads or flower beads...let's see :)

New camera!!!

 

Last week my camera abandoned me. It was old, it wasn't even working properly, but it wasn't in my plans to change it.

My adorable boyfriend deceided to buy me a new camera as early Christmas' present, now I have a new Nikon Coolpix P100, that means I don't need to spend hours correcting my pictures with Photoshop!

In the picture you see a bronze color cage with a tiny porcelain bird inside and real vintage plastic flowers on top.

Resin Key necklace

Finally I'm quite satisfied with my resin pendants. This necklace is made with a key pendant I've made with epoxy resin and green a/b glitter. This is a sample, I still have to polish it. the funny thing is that the key I used to make the mould is a silver copy of the key of the front door of the Basilica Superiore di San Francesco in Assisi, click here to see a picture of the church.

Matchboxes!

 

As I already wrote I love to decorate matchboxes and swap them via Swap-bot, but for some strage reasons, I always forget to take pictures of my matchboxes before to send them out. I found these pics on my flickr page, these were made last year.

Rainbow bracelet

I could say that rainbow bracelets are a kind of trademark for me.
They're fun to make and so bold and colorful to catch everyone attention.
I like to wear one of those bracelets to brighten a plan outfit, both in the summer with a white t-shirt than in the winter with a black turtleneck sweater.
This is the latest Rainbow bracelet I made, it is full of various kind of beads and charms, some are handmade by me with polymer clay.
